From Joseph Adahnu, Yola

The Adamawa State Government, has issued a stern warning to political appointees, who recently defected to other Political Parties, directing them to resign voluntarily within 24 hours or face immediate termination and forfeiture of all benefits.

The directive is contained in a statement signed yesterday by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Ahamdu Umaru Fintiri, Humeashi Wonosikau in Yola.

This directive is coming amid growing concerns over political loyalty and accountability within government institutions.

According to the directive, Officials who have switched allegiance to opposing parties are being reminded of the ethical and legal implications of their actions while still holding positions under their former affiliations.

In accordance to this, observers note that the development could significantly impact the political landscape, especially as realignments continue ahead of future elections. Stakeholders have called for calm and adherence to due process as the situation unfolds.
