A community leader, Chief Abdul Opaluwa, has been beaded as the Omachi Iyogbo, with a charge to be an ambassador of peace and development.
Performing the traditional rites for thhe chieftaincy title which is of Second Class Status, the Ata Igala, HRM, Matthew Alaji Opaluwa Oguche Akpa, described Chief Abdul Opaluwa, as a dependable son of Igala kingdom.
He further urged him to preserve communal values, norms and unity in the community while encouraging him to promote peace amongst his people.
The paramount ruler of Igala Kingdom used the occasion to remind all sons and daughters of Iyogbo community and Igalaland both at home and in the diaspora to champion harmony, peaceful coexistence wherever they find themselves.
In his remarks, Chief Abdul Opaluwa, appreciated the royal father for considering him worthy for such position and honour while promising not to disappoint him and Igalaland in general.
He used the occasion to advice the youths in Igalamela/Odulu Local Government Area and across Igalaland, to shun anti-social behavior and all forms of social vices that would hamper peace and development in Igalaland.
