The newly installed 2nd Class traditional ruler of Emodu Kingdom, popularly known as Odu-Ogidiga, His Highness, Elder Joseph Abdul Abuh, has expressed appreciation to Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, over his appointment and approval.
Chief Abuh described Governor Ododo as a people-oriented leader who has the interest of Kogi people at heart, thanking him and his Deputy, Comrade Joel Oyibo, for finding him worthy of the revered stool.
He also extended gratitude to the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Abdullahi Bello, the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Eniola Enimola, the Director of Chieftaincy Affairs and other staff of the ministry for their resilience and commitment to the success of the selection process.
The traditional ruler equally lauded the President of Igala Traditional Council and Attah Igala, His Royal Majesty, Matthew Opaluwa Oguche Akpa II, for his fatherly role in ensuring a hitch-free process.
He also commended the Eje of Olamaboro, His Royal Highness, Chief Ujah Sani Simeon Agagwu, for his doggedness throughout the selection.
Chief Abuh called on all sons and daughters of Emodu, both at home and in the diaspora, to remain dedicated to the development of Emodu, Ogugu, Olamaboro Local Government and Kogi State in general.
He pledged to run an all-inclusive reign that will engender peace and development, urging his subjects to shun acts capable of causing disunity and embrace peace and cooperation for the progress of the kingdom.
