The Ata Igala and paramount ruler of Igala Kingdom, HRM, Matthew Alaji Opaluwa Oguche Akpa, has conferred the traditional title of Ekpa Ata Igala, on Chief Umoru Usman Ataboi Omi, with a charge to all sons and daughters of the land to prioritise integrity, hard work and discipline for speedy development.
He gave the charge while honouring him in Idah highlighting the need for every Igala person both at home and in the diaspora to be upright in whatever they do, be their brother’s keeper and in every position they find themselves.
The Ata urged Igalas to develop the values of integrity and hard work to move Igalaland, the state and nation forward.
Reacting, Chief Ataboi Omi, restarted his resolve and readiness to work closely with the Ata Igala for the peace, progress and development of Igalaland.

He also described his coronation as new beginning as he was committed towards enhancing the living standards of his peoples and Igalaland in general.
