From Abdullahi Idris, Bauchi

The Provost of the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, Bauchi, has commended Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, for the upgrading and rehabilitation of the College’s Greenhouse Project, as well as the Soil and Water Laboratory.

The Provost, speaking on behalf of staff, students, and the entire management of the College, expressed appreciation to the Governor, the World Bank team, and the ACReSAL Project office in Bauchi for their intervention.

He noted that the project demonstrates commitment to environmental sustainability, climate-friendly practices, and will help address long-standing environmental challenges facing the institution.

According to him, the intervention is a legacy project that will stand the test of time and significantly add value to teaching, research, and sustainable agricultural practices in line with global accepted standards.

“The upgrade is timely and will enhance the body of knowledge available to our students and staff. It will also promote best practices in agricultural development and technology,” the Provost said.

He urged the College community to reciprocate the Governor’s gesture by ensuring proper use and maintenance of the facilities.

The Provost further appreciated the Bauchi State Government for its consistent support to the College in all areas, and commended the Commissioner for Higher Education and Regional Integration, Hon. Hadiza Kango, for her efforts in facilitating the project.
