The lifeless body of abandoned baby, has been discovered inside a box and dumped in a bush within Felele community, Lokoja.
No one knows whether the baby was dumped there dead or alive, but it was gathered from the residents of the area that passersby discovered the infant and alerted the police division.
It was further gathered that the baby boy’s body was dumped along a bush path behind AP Filling Station in Felele on Sunday.
According to residents, an unknown person left a water drip carton containing the baby’s body, placenta, and other items at about 3 pm.
The baby was dressed in simple baby wear and a pamper.

Community officers reported the incident to B Division police station, Felele. Authorities later instructed the community to bury the body after documentation.
The baby was taken to Felele CAN cemetery for burial around 7 pm.
