‎Kogi State Polytechnic witnessed a tremendous display of unity and shared humanity as the Rector, Professor Salihu Avidime, hosted members of the institution to a Ramadan and Lenten Breaking of Fast.
‎
‎The event, which was held at the 1000 capacity Lecture Theatre of the Polytechnic’s Main Campus,  underscored the values of faith, fellowship, and fraternity that binds the institution together across religious and cultural lines.
‎
‎The gathering drew from an assemblage of Principal Officers, Directors, Deans, Heads of Departments, members of staff, and students from diverse faith backgrounds, all converging in an atmosphere of warmth and mutual respect.
‎
‎It served as a unique moment of reflection and togetherness, as both Muslims and Christians observed their sacred seasons in harmony.
‎
‎The Rector, in his remarks, expressed profound appreciation to the Polytechnic community for honouring his invitation, describing their presence as a strong indication of the collective greatness that can be achieved within the citadel of learning.

‎He emphasised the need for sustained peace, unity, and harmony, noting that these values are essential to the success of his administration and the overall progress of the institution.
‎
‎Delivering spiritual exhortations, Chief Imam of the Polytechnic, Mallam Salisu Yusuf, called on members of the Polytechnic community to embrace unity, peace, and humility, urging them to work closely with the Rector in pursuit of shared goals.
‎
‎In a similar vein, Dr. Mrs Ardelene Balagbogbo, who gave a sermon on behalf of the Christian Faithfuls, encouraged the community to remain steadfast in love and cooperation, stressing the importance of harmonious engagement in supporting the vision and success of the Rector.
‎
‎The event not only marked a significant moment of interfaith solidarity but also reinforced the Polytechnic’s commitment to inclusiveness and collective progress.
‎
‎It also stood as a testament to the power of unity in diversity, setting a strong foundation for a more cohesive and forward-looking academic community.
