ARD-KWASUTH hail Governor AbdulRazaq over payment of MRTF and CONMESS

The Association of Resident Doctors at the Kwara State University Teaching Hospital (ARD-KWASUTH), has praised Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq , for the prompt payment of the 2024 Consolidated Medical Salary Structure (CONMESS), including two months’ arrears.

In a statement made by the President of ARD-KWASUTH, Dr. Abdulfatai Abdulazeez, on Sunday in Ilorin, the association expressed its appreciation for the payment, which is a significant milestone for the medical community in the state.

Dr. Abdulazeez also highlighted that the government has commenced the payment of the Medical Residency Training Fund (MRTF), which he described as a crucial step towards advancing the professional development of doctors in the state.

He lauded the Governor for demonstrating a strong commitment to the future of healthcare in Kwara by ensuring the timely payment of MRTF. “This is a clear indication of your administration’s dedication to investing in the next generation of medical professionals,” Dr. Abdulazeez said.

The ARD-KWASUTH president, further commended the Governor for prioritising the health and wellbeing of Kwarans, stating that this gesture underscores the administration’s commitment to improving healthcare services in the state. He termed the payment of MRTF and CONMESS as “historic milestones,” noting that it will have a lasting positive impact on the healthcare sector in Kwara.

The association expressed its gratitude to Governor AbdulRazaq, acknowledging his leadership in ensuring that healthcare professionals in the state are well-supported.
