Rededicate yourself to duty, Perm Sec urges sports ministry staff

The Management and Staff of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, have been urged to be focused and work in line with the aspirations of the present administration.

According to a statement issued by Information Officer, Kogi State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Lokoja, James Sani , the new Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Maji Enoch gave the charge during a meeting with management staff in his office in Lokoja.

Mr. Maji Enoch advised the staff and Management to be loyal, committed and dedicated to the Government of the Day under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.

He told the staff that he will not welcome sentiments, tribalism, truancy and back biting among staff.

Mr. Enoch, described his posting to the ministry as Permanent Secretary as divinely arranged, just as he pledged to work collectively with all for the growth and progress of the ministry.

He emphasised the need to be conscious of the rules and regulations guiding civil service, especially self discipline during working hours and general conduct.

The Permanent Secretary used the forum to also advise them on the need to improve themselves educationally, stressing that self development was crucial for growth.

While exspressing appreciation to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, and the Head of service, Dr. Elijah Evinemi for the opportunity to serve as the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, he assured of his readiness to contribute more to the growth of Kogi State.

Mr. Enoch also commended the Commissioner of the Ministry, Honourable Aridaojo Anyebe, for his quality leadership and assured him of his support towards the progress and development of the ministry.

Speaking, on behalf of the Management and staff, Mr. Itodo Yusuf, congratulated the new Permanent Secretary on his appointment and promised total support and loyalty of the staff.
