Speaking to Newsmen immediately after the meeting, the State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Iliya James, said the decision of the council was to cushion the suffering of students particularly in the area of accommodation deficit in the institution.

On their part, the state Commissioners for Housing, Abdullahi Prambe and that of Justice, Barrister Afraimu Jingi, revealed that the approval was out of the magnanimity of Governor Fintiri to ensure more students are admitted for the 1year mandatory study.

The duo also stated that the benefitting institution is the only Law School in the North East and therefore needs adequate government attention.

According to them, from the take-off of the institution in 2013, only 250 students were admitted However, the number has increased as about 400 students are being admitted with the number to be increased subsequently.

While on sports, the Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Barrister Wali Yakubu, noted that Adamawa contingents were in Taraba from 28th to 31st August for a zonal competition which is a prerequisite for the national youth game scheduled to take place at Asaba.

Barr. Yakubu added that participated actively and clinched first in 7 of the 10 games and second in 3, giving Adamawa the baton to represent the region in Asaba.
