The Director General of the Kogi State Social Investment Programme Agency (KOSSIPA), Hajia Aisha Omade, has visited Ajaokuta Local Government to advance the Agency’s ongoing data capturing initiative.
The initiative is in line with ongoing efforts to ensure communities affected by natural disasters and other related issues are accurately documented for subsequent support programs.
During her visit, she met with the Chairman of the Local Government, Honourable Aliyu Haruna Ogido, to discuss the programme’s objectives and its significance for the residents of Kogi State.
Hajia Omade briefed Hon. Ogido on the current data capturing efforts across the state, emphasising the importance of this initiative for the future distribution of state and federal government grants.
Following the meeting, Hajia Omade toured the Ajaokuta community, inspecting areas affected by erosion and dilapidated houses.
In a gesture of support and compassion, she distributed a total of ₦300,000 to elderly women and petty business owners, reinforcing KOSSIPA’s commitment to improving the livelihoods of vulnerable populations in the state.
The Chairman appreciated Hajia Omade and her team, acknowledging the crucial role of the data capturing initiative in ensuring that all residents of Kogi State are accurately recorded for subsequent support programs.
Ogido highlighted his dedication to his community, stating that since his inception in office, he has never spent a night away from his hometown, regardless of his commitments elsewhere.
He emphasised that his steadfast presence in Ajaokuta underscores his commitment to addressing the needs and concerns of his constituents.
KOSSIPA’s data capturing initiative represents a significant step towards better resource allocation and support for the people of Kogi State, ensuring that no resident is left behind in the state’s development agenda.
