By Kehinde Erin

Kogi State is on the verge of an agricultural revolution, thanks to Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo’s forward-thinking leadership.

The recent approval for the establishment of the Ministry of Livestock Development is a strategic move aimed at enhancing livestock management and unlocking the state’s vast agricultural potential.

This decision aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritizes agricultural development and food security.

By creating a dedicated ministry, Governor Ododo demonstrates his commitment to boosting food security, empowering smallholder farmers, and promoting agricultural productivity.

Under Governor Ododo’s leadership, Kogi State has already witnessed significant improvements in infrastructure development, healthcare, and education. His administration has implemented initiatives to support smallholder farmers, promote agricultural productivity, and enhance livestock management.

The establishment of the Ministry of Livestock Development is expected to have a positive impact on the state’s agricultural sector, leading to increased food production, job creation, and economic growth. With Governor Ododo at the helm, Kogi State is poised for a brighter agricultural future.
