He commended the organisation for what he described as its professionalism, diligence and commitment to recognising individuals and institutions that are making positive contributions to society.

According to him, the award would further inspire the Bauchi State Government to remain focused on its development agenda and continue to pursue policies and programmes capable of improving the lives of citizens and positioning the state for sustainable growth.

The Special Adviser emphasised that the recognition was not only a personal honour for Governor Bala Mohammed, but also an acknowledgement of the collective efforts of the people and government of Bauchi State in advancing the state’s development.

Earlier in his remarks, the Managing Director of Business Times Magazine , Mr. Desmond, explained the rationale behind the annual awards, noting that the initiative was designed to identify, celebrate and encourage individuals, organisations and institutions that have demonstrated excellence, innovation, leadership and measurable impact in their respective fields.

This year’s ceremony was held under the theme, “Leading the Future: Excellence in Innovation and Impact,” reflecting the organisers’ emphasis on forward-looking leadership, creativity, innovation and contributions that produce tangible benefits for society.

The organisers noted that the annual awards provide an important platform for celebrating outstanding achievements while encouraging leaders in government and the private sector to sustain the pursuit of excellence and impactful initiatives.

The Outstanding Governor of the Year 2026 therefore adds to the growing recognition of his administration’s leadership and development efforts in Bauchi State.

The ceremony also featured the presentation of awards to several other individuals, private organisations and corporate institutions in recognition of their achievements, contributions and excellence in their various areas of endeavour.

The gathering provided an opportunity for stakeholders from the public and private sectors to exchange ideas, celebrate achievements and reaffirm the importance of innovative leadership and responsible corporate and public-sector governance in shaping Nigeria’s future.
