Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), has urged its customers to apply for meters through the company’s streamlined application process in order to be getting accurate and fair billing.
The Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AEDC, Victor Ojelabi, made this call during a meeting with journalists in Abuja.
He said, the Company was facilitating the distribution of meters to unmetered customers in accordance with the Federal Government’s mass metering initiative.
Ojelabi explained that AEDC was prioritising the clearance of outstanding bills to optimise service delivery and ensure operational efficiency.
According to him, “This strategic move is designed to enhance our financial health, and enabling us to provide more robust and reliable electricity distribution services. We appeal to all our valued customers with outstanding bills to settle them promptly.
“This is crucial in maintaining uninterrupted service delivery and ensuring that we provide reliable electricity to every household and business in our service areas,” he said.
Ojelabi, added that the company has introduced key initiatives including Token Identifier (TID) Rollover, Operationalisation of vending platforms, among others to boost service delivery and customer satisfaction.
