The newly coronated Onu Oko Ata Onicha Igo, Chief James Ekpa, has urged residents of the area and Igalaland in general to take an active role in shaping their communities and driving community development initiatives.
Chief Ekpa who made the call during his coronation in Idah, assured the Ata Igala, HRM Matthew Alaji Opaluwa Oguche Akpa of his resolve not to disappoint him in his present assignment while pledging to serve God and humanity conscientiously.
The elated Onu Oko Ata Onicha Igo, urged people of his community to embrace self-help initiatives and programmes designed to drive transformational change as well as impact their well-being.
Chief Ekpa used the forum to applaud the Ata Igala for considering him worthy to serve his people in Onicha Igo in Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State.
He equally reminded Igala sons and daughters to be creative in order to make positive impact on their immediate communities and Igalaland in general.
Chief Ekpa then called on the people of Onicha Igo to be their brothers keeper, be upright in their private and public lives as well as live examplary lives worthy of emulation in the interest of peace and sustained growth of the state.
