From Aliyu Momoh, Okene

For purpose of peace, security and administrative convenience, the Ohinoyi of Ebira land, HRH, Alhaji Ahmed Tijani Muhammad Anaje, has turbaned the Sarki Hausawa of Ebira land, Alhaji Saleh Adamu Danladi.

The ceremony which held last weekend at the Ohinoyi’s palace in Okene also witnessed the turbaning of Fulani leaders (Odeyi Fulani) across the five local government areas of Kogi central.

In an address during the ceremony, the Ohinoyi, explained that the the turbaning of the Fulani leaders across the five local government areas of kogi central, is a pro-active response to calls by the people of the area for the need to address the rising security challenges associated with Fulani settlers in the area. Adding that such challenges which caused displacement of farmers and destruction of farmlands has generated tension in the area.
