From Taiye Joseph

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, has been described as a principled and exemplary leader worthy of emulation.

This commendation was contained in a congratulatory message issued by the Ubandoma Malamai of Ilorin and Imam at the National Mosque, Abuja, Shaykh Abdulkadir Sholagberu, on behalf of fellow clerics, in celebration of the monarch’s 86th birthday anniversary.

Dr Sholagberu, who also serves as the National President of the Shehu Alimi Islamic Foundation, noted that the Emir has dedicated his life not only to the advancement of Islam but also to the promotion of peace and harmony across Nigeria and beyond.

He further expressed appreciation to the Emir, who is also a Vice-President of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, for fostering unity and mutual understanding among the people of Kwara State and the nation at large. He described Ilorin as a shining example of religious harmony in Nigeria.

The cleric prayed for the Emir’s continoues good health and many more years of purposeful leadership on the throne of his forebears.
