The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), has promoted about 1,126 staff as a reward for their hardwork with an approval of another 547 others with step increments.
The promotion came after a successful conclusion of 2025 performance appraisal exercise, which reaffirmed the Company’s unwavering commitment to recognizing excellence and building one of Africa’s most admired workplaces.
According to a statement released and signed by the Head, Brand Marketing and Corporate Communications, AEDC, Omede Odekina, said the milestone reflects AEDC’s deliberate investment in its people as the company accelerates its transformation into a customer-centric, high-performing electricity distribution company with global standards and Pan-African aspirations.
The promotions and step increments, approved by the Company’s Management, the statement further said, is to recognise employees who have demonstrated exceptional commitment, professionalism and outstanding performance in advancing AEDC’s strategic objectives.
Speaking on the development, the AEDC Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Chijioke Okwuokenye, who approved the promotion, described it as another significant milestone in the Company’s people transformation journey.
