Pray for Kogi’s progress, Hajia Sefinat Ododo urges residents

The Wife of the Governor of Kogi State, Hajia Sefinat Ododo, has urged residents of the state to pray for their leaders to enable them serve diligently

Hajia Sefinat made this appeal in Lokoja, during a dinner organised by her office as part of activities to mark the first year anniversary of the Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo led administration in office.

She urged residents to promote unity and continue praying for the progress of the present administration and seek the good of the state for rapid transformation.

Speaking further, the first lady emphasised the need for collective efforts and prayers to ensure the governor succeeds in fulfilling his vision for the state.

“I urge everyone to continue to pray for my husband’s success as he works tirelessly to transform and develop our state while empowering its people, especially women,” she said.

“Let us unite as one family, supporting his efforts to bring positive change and sustainable development to the state. I also urge everyone to pray for our President, Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as we work together to build a prosperous state and a great nation.”

Mrs. Ododo also expressed profound gratitude to the First Lady of Nigeria, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, for her dedication to improving the lives of women and children across Nigeria.

In her remarks, Secretary to the Government of Kogi State,(SGS), Dr. Folashade Ayoade Arike, expressed gratitude to God for His guidance over the past one year.

“We are immensely thankful to God for His grace and mercy throughout the last 12 months of purposeful and visionary leadership under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo. It has been a year of exceptional governance,” Dr. Ayoade noted.

She also commended Mrs Ododo for her commitment to supporting the governor’s developmental agenda and her passion for empowering the less privileged.

Similarly, the Director-General of the Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation, Hajia Nana Yusuf, lauded the governor for appointing her as the first female head of the corporation in the history of the state.

She praised Hajia Sefinat’s dedication to women and children’s empowerment, pledging the corporation’s full support for her initiatives.

The event featured cultural performances, vibrant dancing, and the ceremonial cutting of the anniversary cake, celebrating a year of progress and achievements under Governor Ododo’s administration.
