Office of the Kogi State Head of Civil Service, in collaboration with the Center for Management Development (CMD), has organised a 3-day training workshop for Permanent Secretaries in the state.

The training with the theme: Enhancing Service Delivery in the 21st Century, started today Tuesday, 4th March, to Thursday, 6th March, 2025, at Edge Drive Hotel, Lokoja.

The training which is organised for Permanent Secretaries, is aimed at achieving positive service delivery in their various Ministries and parastatals.

Declaring the workshop open, the Governor, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, represented by the Secretary to the Government of the State (SGS), Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade (PhD), applauded the Head of Civil Service, Pastor Elijah Evinemi, for been consistent.

The Governor, who appreciates civil servants in the state for encouraging him to carry out his responsibilities to all, promised to do more with their prayers and support:

While lauding the organisers of the workshop for giving room for learning and relearning through workshops and seminars.

The SGS, charged the Permanent Secretaries, to use each day of the training effectively.

She urged the Permanent Secretaries to organise trainings for their staff in their various ministries, at different intervals for equitable service delivery.

One of the participants, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information, Mr. Ebenezer Adurodija, expressed optimism in the workshop saying, “to have conceived this idea, I want to appreciate the Head of Service for creating a learning atmosphere for all the Permanent Secretaries in the state.”

He promised to make effective use of the knowledge acquired at the workshop. Even as he urged his colleagues to do same.
