The newly appointed Zonal Director for North Central, National Orientation Agency (NOA), Dr. Priscilla Gondo-Aluor, has called on staff of the agency to take ownership of government programmes and policies, stressing that personal conviction is key to persuading Nigerians to embrace national initiatives.
Speaking in Ilorin upon resumption of office, Dr. Gondo-Aluor, emphasised that NOA staff serve as the driving force behind the agency’s mandate and must fully believe in the policies they promote.
“Any nation that must move forward needs a well-defined value system. NOA is not just a building; it is the people within it who must drive this vision. To communicate government policies effectively, personnel must first believe in them,” she stated.
She urged the staffs to see their roles as more than just a means of livelihood but as a patriotic duty to reshape the mindset of Nigerians.
“If you are here only for a paycheck, you may not do well. NOA is about reorientation, and we, the staff, are the instruments of change. Our conviction must inspire citizens to key into government programmes,” she added.
Dr. Gondo-Aluor assured staff of the commitment of NOA’s Director General, Mallam Issa Onilu, to improving their welfare and working conditions. She also urged Nigerians to have faith in President Bola Tinubu’s administration and support policies aimed at building a stronger and more prosperous nation.
During her visit, she inspected NOA offices across Kwara State to assess operations. The Kwara State Director, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Dare, welcomed the establishment of the North Central Zonal Directorate and praised Dr. Gondo-Aluor’s leadership, citing her vast experience in the agency spanning over three decades.
The newly created North Central Zonal Directorate, oversees NOA activities in Kwara, Kogi, Niger, Nasarawa, Plateau, Benue, and the FCT, with its headquarters in Ilorin.
