– Warns contractor to meet deadline

Kogi State Commissioner for Works, Engineer Mohammed Yusuf, has warned the contractor, handling Hassan Katsina Road Project (Zone 8-Crusher Road) in Lokoja, to ensure timely completion or risk losing future contracts in the state.

The Commissioner, who stated this while inspecting the ongoing road project handled by TEC Engineering LTD, recently, identified technical errors and directed immediate correction.

The project, which has reached 75% completion, is crucial for the state’s economic development, as it serves as a gateway to the eastern flank and hosts several government ministries.

Engr. Yusuf, emphasised the importance of meeting the deadline, citing Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s commitment to improving road a infrastructure.

In his words, “the state government will not tolerate delays. Meeting the deadline is crucial for future contracts,” he warned.

The commissioner’s inspection underscores the state’s dedication to quality project execution and timely completion.

The Commissioner was accompanied by Engr. Alhassan Akubo, Deputy Director of Civil Engineering, and Engr. Anthony Sule, Technical Assistant to the Commissioner.
