Kogi State Hajj Commission organises 3-day training for intending pilgrims

The Kogi State Hajj Commission, has organised a three day enlightenment programme for intending pilgrims from kogi central that will perform this year pilgrimage to Mecca.

At the three days enlightenment programme that held in Agassa-Okene last weekend, intending pilgrims were lectured on the importance of the pilgrimage and their general code of conduct while in the holy land.

Addressing the intending pilgrims on the last day of the enlightenment exercise, the state Amirul Hajj, HRH, Alhaji Abdul Karim Attah Yusuf, congratulated the intending pilgrims for the rare opportunity Allah has afforded them and urged them to seize the opportunity to have a spiritual rebirth.

The Amirul Hajj who is also the Ohi of Okengwe praised kogi state government and the state for their efforts towards ensuring a hitch free 2026 Hajj exercise.

While urging the intending pilgrims to adhere strictly to the rules guiding their conduct while performing the Hajj exercise, the Amirul Hajj also admonished them to pray for kogi state government while in the holy land.

Speaking earlier, the chairman of Kogi State Muslims Hajj Commission, sheikh Lukeman Abdullahi, expressed satisfaction over the success of the enlightenment exercise, as well as the commitment of the intending pilgrims. He then affirmed that the enlightenment exercise was held across the three senatorial district of the state.

The commission chairman who was represented by Alhaji Gomina Ahmed,  urged participants at the three days exercise to make good use of the knowledge acquired during the exercise, be of good conduct while in Mecca.
