Kogi Govt, NYSC deepen collaboration to drive youth development

Commissioner for Youth and Sports Developments, Hon. Aridaojo Anyebe has reaffirmed Kogi State Government’s commitment to synergize with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), to enhance youth development initiatives through capacity building trainings.

According to a statement issued by the Information Officer, Kogi State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, James Sani, the Commissioner gave the assurance during a send-off organized in honour of the outgone State Coodinator of NYSC, Mr. Femi Osungbohun at NYSC secretariat in Lokoja

He assured corps member serving in the state of government’s support programmes designed towards capacity building of corps members.

Hon. Anyebe said the present administration under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, has total passion for youth development and corps member serving in the state. Just as it remains committed and dedicated to the growth and empowerment of youths in the state.

The Commissioner described the outgone NYSC State Director as a Man of integrity who exhibited examplary and quality leadership roles during his service in the state.

On behalf of the State Governor, Hon Anyebe congratulated him for his successful retirement after active service.

Also speaking, the newly appointed Kogi State Coodinator of NYSC, Mrs Chris-Moneke Chika, promised to emulate the leadership style of the outgone Coordinator, Mr Osungbohun by surpassing his achievements.

Mrs Chika used the forum to appreciate the State Governor as well as Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development for their commitment and support to the growth of the NYSC scheme in Kogi State.

In his remarks, the outgone NYSC State Director, Mr.Osungbohun, called on the management and staff of the scheme in Kogi State to continue to extend the same support given to him during his tenure to the new state Coodinator.

The outgone Coodinator equally commended the state Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon Anyebe, who is also the Chairman Board of NYSC in Kogi State for his outstanding performance to the growth and progress of Youth development.

Present at the occasion included the Commissioner for Water Resources, Engineer Faruk Muhammad, Security personal, management and Staff of the scheme.
