The praise and prayer session, which was attended by top government functionaries, political leaders, Pastors, church leaders and Christians from different denominations, was part of the monthly prayers for Kogi state and Nigeria, initiated by Pastor Stephen Arome.

Addressing the congregation, the Deputy Governor, emphasised the importance of prayers in supporting the progress of the Governor Ododo led administration in the state.

He called for divine intervention against security threats and socio-economic instability in the state and Nigeria as a whole.

Speaking, convener of the Kogi monthly prayers for state government, Pastor Stephen Arome, said he was divinely directed by God to raise an altar of prayer for the Kogi state government.

He thanked God for blessings Kogi state and Nigeria, and urged the people not to relent in their prayers to God for more favorable spiritual intervention.

In his charge, Pastor Sunday Akpa, who coordinated the praise and prayer session, called on Christian fathers to be worthy role models to their families and society, urging them to serve God without season.

Taking his charge from the Bible in the book of Joshua 24v15b, “as for me and my house, we will serve the lord.”  Every father he emphasised must serve God with his family.

“When u serve God with your family, it creates continuity in service and bring blessings to mankind.”

The prayer session, which witnessed Christians from across the 21 Local Government Areas of the state, was a fervent all-night prayer for the success and productivity of the Tinubu and Ododo administrations.
