Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) Kogi state chapter, is to confer the association’s Distinguished Pillar Award on the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of The Graphic Newspaper, Mr Yusuf Jimoh Itopa.
The association in a statement by its Chairman, Mr Joel Tope, to The Graphic, stressed that the award will be presented at The NUJ Press Centre, Lokoja the state capital at 4pm.
Mr Tope disclosed that the association will also confer ANA Partner Award on the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information, Mr Ebenezer Adurodija and the Director General, Kogi state Broadcasting Corporation, Princess Nana Hauwa Yusuf.
The Chairman also said the association will confer the Grand Patron Award on Mr Simbabi Ogbeha, the Managing Director of Grace FM Lokoja.
According to him, the award was is in recognition of their contributions, unwavering and unflinching support to the development of the association in the state.
The award ceremony which will also feature reading sessions, he said, is aimed at show casing activities of the association in the state since 2002.
The Association of Nigerian Authors was founded on 27th June, 1981, during a conference convened by the late Professor Chinua Achebe. Other notable members include, Professor Wole Soyinka and late JP Clark.
