Governor Umar Namadi, has received the management team of Fa’ida Radio, Malam Madori, led by its managing director, Alhaji Bashir Danladi, and Trimming FM Auyo, headed by its manager, Mustapha Muhammad, during separate courtesy visits at the Government House, Dutse.

The visits underlined the strong and cordial relationship between the Jigawa State Government and media organizations operating within the state, with both stations commending the governor’s media-friendly disposition and inclusive leadership style.
Speaking on behalf of Fa’ida Radio, its General Manager, Malam Bashir Danladi, expressed appreciation to the governor for fostering mutual understanding with media outlets, describing him as one of the most media-friendly governors in Nigeria.
“Let me thank you for the honor and mutual understanding with media outlets that make you one of the media-friendly governors in Nigeria. Your Excellency, Fa’ida Radio once again would like to thank you for your government’s concern and generosity in taking local media outlets along in your administration,” he said.

He noted that Fa’ida Radio, established in January 2024 by Distinguished Senator Ahmed Malam Madori, was founded to promote peace, public enlightenment, and moral values, while also countering misinformation and political propaganda.
He highlighted the station’s transmission capacity covering a radius of approximately 120 kilometers and reaffirmed its commitment to operating in line with the regulations of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), as he called for a strengthened partnership with the state government to enhance effective coverage and dissemination of government policies and programmes.

In his remarks, Governor Namadi, described the visit as a reflection of the strong working relationship between the government and media organizations in the state, commending Fa’ida Radio for demonstrating professionalism and contributing to public enlightenment.
“As a government, we have a duty to patronize you. Being a private radio, we also have a responsibility because the proprietor of the radio has come in to assist the government in providing employment to our people,” Governor Namadi stated.
He assured the station of continued collaboration, including the finalization of necessary arrangements to formalize government engagement, while urging them to sustain their professionalism and balanced reporting.
Similarly, the manager of Trimming FM, Mustapha Muhammad, stated that the station’s programming aligns with the administration’s 12-point agenda, particularly in the areas of agriculture, livestock, and agribusiness.
“The reason for establishing Trimming Radio is to sustain the legacy of projects executed by the World Bank and the Federal Government in Auyo, which helped provide a functional irrigation system.”
According to him, “TRIMING” Transforming Irrigation Management in Nigeria—reflects the station’s focus on promoting efficient irrigation practices and enhancing dry-season farming, saying that the station actively sensitizes farmers on best practices, including peaceful coexistence between farmers and herders and effective water resource utilization.
He noted that Auyo was strategically selected as the station’s location due to its centrality to irrigation farming and its relevance to addressing farmer-herder challenges.
“We also discuss education, public awareness on social life, politics, and other related issues,” he said.
Responding, Governor Namadi stressed the importance of Trimming FM in advancing agricultural development and information dissemination among farmers across the state, describing the station as a valuable platform for reaching rural communities with critical messages.
“This radio station was established to serve the interests of farmers in Jigawa State. I believe it will be a source of pride for us as a government, as it provides a channel through which we can communicate appropriate messages to farmers across the state.
“Therefore, I want to assure this radio station that the Jigawa State Government, will work closely with it to ensure that our farmers receive all the necessary information they need.”
