Bassa Local Government workers say they are strongly behind Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and President Bola Tinubu in the forthcoming election.
The workers made the position known on Monday during a visit by the Workplace Security Campaign Team led by the Special Adviser on Labour, Comrade Onuh Edoka.
Speaking at Oguma, headquarters of the Local Government, the Chairman of the Council, Honourable Theophilus Danruwana, said the Governor has done well to deserve re-election.

He noted that workers have fared well under the administration, assuring that the sensitisation was a greater call to service ahead of the election.
He commended the team for taking the campaign to local government areas, adding that he was optimistic of landslide victory for the APC and its candidates.
Also speaking, the Chairman of Medical and Health workers in the area, Comrade Adamu Amodu who spoke on behalf of other Unions, enumerated the achievements of the Governor since assuming office, noting that they were resolute in their decision to return the Governor.

He, however, appealed to the Special Adviser to assist in the challenges facing the workers in order to solidify the support.
In his remarks, leader of the team, Comrade Onuh Edoka, said the sensitisation was critical in view of the importance of a secured workplace.
The Special Adviser urged the workers to be security conscious at all times, bearing in mind too that job security is essential and an antidote to their wellbeing.

He assured that the government was already looking into most of their challenges earlier highlighted and thanked the Council Chairman for his presence during the visit.
Chairmen of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Gabriel Amari; Trade Union Congress (TUC), Sule Ahmed Tijani; Joint Negotiation Council (JNC) Chairman, Olusegun Alemeru, and other political office holders were part of the team.
