From Abdullahi Idris, Dutse

The Jigawa State Government in collaboration with the State Digital Security Ambassador, under the National Cybersecurity Awareness Initiative, of the Office of the National Security Adviser, recently organised a one-day training workshop on Cybersecurity for 200 civil servants in the state.

In his opening remarks, the Special Assistant to the Governor on ICT and Digital Economy, Murtala Kazaure, highlighted the importance of acquiring cybersecurity knowledge to adopt effective online safety measures.

He noted that ICT and Digital Economy are integral to the 12 Point Agenda of the Namadi-led administration, with plans underway to elevate Jigawa’s digital landscape.

He urged civil servants to share their newfound knowledge with friends, family, and community members to foster safer digital interactions.
