It was equally gathered that, even the Correspondent Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Abuja, Mr Jide Oyekunle was harassed, assaulted and arrested with his phone seized for some hours before he was released.

Our Correspondent gathered that, at the border between Nyanya-Abuja and Checking-point in Nasarawa state, police were also seen using teargas on the protesters which led to the burning of motor tyres before Army personnel escorted some of the vehicles to pass through Mararaba to Keffi.

It was also gathered that, protesters blocked Suleja-Kaduna road; a suburb of Abuja where at least, six persons were allegedly killed during the protests on August 1, 2024.

The information available to The Graphic, says that while Security operatives were trying to disperse protesters who blocked the Abuja-Kaduna highway, one Yahaya Nda Isah was allegedly hit by a stray bullet while on his bike.

Some of the areas where the angry protesters occupied took the force from the police and military deployed to manage the situation from escalation.
