From Taiye Joseph, Ilorin

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate in Kwara State, Engineer Suleiman Kawu, has felicitated with Muslims across Kwara State, Nigeria, and the world on the commencement of the Islamic New Year, 1448 A.H.

In a message he personally signed and posted on his social media handles, Engr. Kawu described the Hijrah as a significant event that continues to inspire Muslims and humanity at large with the enduring values of faith, sacrifice, perseverance, brotherhood, and commitment to building a peaceful and just society.

He urged Muslims to use the occasion of the new Islamic year to reflect on these virtues and renew their dedication to compassion, unity, service to humanity, and peaceful coexistence.

According to him, the lessons of the Hijrah remain relevant in addressing contemporary challenges and fostering a society built on mutual understanding, tolerance, and collective progress.
