Gov Ododo seeks NASRDA’s expertise to drive Kogi

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, is seeking collaboration with the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), to tackle some of the state’s pressing challenges.

By leveraging NASRDA’s cutting-edge space technology and innovative capabilities, Governor Ododo aims to create a more secure, prosperous, and sustainable future for Kogi State’s residents.

This partnership is expected to have a significant impact on the state’s development, particularly in areas such as insecurity, agriculture boost, food security, land reforms, infrastructure development, and job creation.

Governor Ododo recently met with Dr. Mathew Olumide Adepoju, the Director General of NASRDA, in Abuja, where he emphasised the importance of collaboration between the state government and NASRDA to drive development in Kogi State.

Governor Ododo called on NASRDA to collaborate with the Kogi state government, leveraging the agency’s cutting-edge technology and innovative expertise to drive development in critical sectors.

He specifically asked for assistance in areas outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding signed between NASRDA and the state government in Lokoja last year.

This partnership aims to enhance development in key areas, further solidifying the state’s progress.

The Director General of NASRDA, Dr. Mathew Olumide Adepoju, praised Governor Ododo for his remarkable achievements in Kogi State, particularly in infrastructural development, within just one year of his administration.

He also expressed his gratitude to the Governor for embracing space technology as a tool to tackle insecurity and drive development across various sectors of Kogi State’s economy.

He assured that the partnership between NASRDA and the Kogi State Government will continue to thrive, ultimately benefiting both the country and the people of Kogi Stat.
