Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of elder statesman, Senator Muhammad Mana, describing his passing as a monumental loss to the state and the nation.
In a condolence message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, the Governor praised the late senator for a life dedicated to service, sacrifice, and patriotism.
“Senator Mana lived a life marked by service, sacrifice, and dedication to the cause of nation-building. From his illustrious military career where he rose to the rank of Colonel, to his stewardship as Military Administrator of Plateau State, he distinguished himself as a disciplined officer and patriotic leader,” Fintiri said.
Mana’s political journey further cemented his legacy when, in 2007, the people of Adamawa North elected him to represent them at the Senate on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). During his tenure, he was widely respected for his humility, dignity, and unwavering commitment to justice, fairness, and development.
Governor Fintiri noted that Senator Mana’s contributions to national unity and grassroots development will be remembered for generations. He added that his death leaves a void in the leadership of Adamawa State and the country at large.
“The passing of Senator Muhammad Mana, is a huge loss not only to Adamawa State, but to the entire nation. I condole with his family, the people of Adamawa North Senatorial District, and Nigerians at large over this irreparable loss,” the Governor said.
He prayed Almighty Allah to forgive the late senator’s shortcomings, grant him eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus, and comfort the bereaved family with the strength to bear the loss.
