The executive leadership of the Mass Communication Students Association (MACOSA), Federal University Lokoja (FUL), was received last week on a high-level courtesy visit by the Chief of Staff to the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ali Bello, at the Government House, Lokoja.
The impactful meeting was facilitated by Honourable Charity Ijese Omole, Special Adviser on Youth and Women Mobilisation as part of ongoing efforts to bridge student leadership with active state governance.
Introducing the delegation, the MACOSA President, Comrade Aishat Musa Umar, commended the transformative governance of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, and lauded Alhaji Bello for his administrative precision, humility, and supervisory role in landmark state infrastructure projects, including the iconic Ganaja Flyover.
The leadership described Alhaji Bello as an inspiring proof that young people can excel at the highest levels of public administration.
In his address, the Chief of Staff welcomed the executive team despite his demanding schedule, assuring the student body that his doors remain open for meaningful engagement.
Offering fatherly mentorship advice, he urged the student leaders to take their academic pursuits seriously, emphasising that the professional world demands resilience, confidence, and strong character.
Citing Hon. Charity as a practical example of consistency and leadership excellence since her student days, Bello encouraged the executives to remain bold, disciplined, and visionary. He further reaffirmed the readiness of Governor Ododo’s administration to partner with Federal University Lokoja.
The MACOSA executive body expressed deep appreciation to the Chief of Staff for his warm reception and wise counsel, while thanking Hon. Charity for her relentless dedication to youth development across Kogi State.
