As part of his campaign tour of Kogi central, the former governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, held a meeting with members of the Igbo community in Ebiraland over the weekend.
The former governor, who is the APC senatorial candidate for Kogi central senatorial district, met with the leaders of the Igbo community to discuss issues that boarders on seeking the group’s support for his senatorial ambition, come 2027 general elections.
Yahaya Bello, who seized the opportunity to commend the community association for peacefully co-existing with their host communities, also thanked them for their continued support for the APC administration in the state.
He then enjoined members of the community to remain peacefully and supportive of the APC administration, assuring that the administration is doing every thing possible to ensure peace,security and enabling environment for businesses to thrive.
In his remarks, the president General of Igbo in Ebiraland, who led the delegation to the meeting commended the leadership role of the former governor in the state and assured that as residents, the Igbo community will always be ready to support and join hands with indigenes of the area, especially on issues that boarders on good representation, development and progress.
