Former Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, has called on Adamawa citizens not to be destracted but continue to support Governor Ahmadu Fintiri’s administration to enable him deliver more dividends of democracy.

Dr. Bukola Saraki, made the call, when he  commissioned the multi-bilion naira Federal Housing Estate road network, constructed by the Adamawa State Government under the administration of Governor Fintiri.

The former Senate President, who reflected on his longstanding relationship with Governor Fintiri, urged residents, not to relent in their support for the Governor.

The project, located within the Federal Housing Estate in Girei Local Government Area, comprises reinforced concrete drains, culverts, and a 3.5-kilometre stormwater drainage system, designed to improve access, mobility, and flood control within the estate and its surrounding communities.

Dr. Saraki lauded Governor Fintiri for what he described as consistent and people-oriented infrastructural development across Adamawa State.

He commended governor Fintiri’s leadership style, describing him as a leader of integrity with a genuine commitment to the welfare and development of his people.

In his address, Governor Fintiri, noted that the projects symbolised the administration’s deliberate approach to governance, anchored on results, accountability, and service to the people.

He said, the road network would directly improve daily life by shortening travel time, enhancing economic activities and strengthen social and commercial connections within the estate and adjoining communities.

He recalled that the project was flagged off in May 2024 as part of the state government’s commitment to addressing long-standing access and mobility challenges in the area.

Fintiei reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to complete all awarded projects and avoid abandoned works, stressing that infrastructure development remains central to Adamawa State’s future.

Further more, he assured residents that ongoing and future projects across the state would be executed with diligence, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility, adding that no community would be neglected in the development process.

Speaking, the Commissioner for Works and Energy, Alhaji Adamu Atiku Abubakar, described the road network as a vital internal link serving residents, traders, commuters, and service providers within the Federal Housing Estate and its environs.

According to him, the project has significantly reduced travel time, improved road safety, enhanced property values, and generated employment opportunities during its construction phase.

Atiku commended the contractors for completing the project ahead of schedule and appealed to residents to take ownership of the road by protecting the drainage infrastructure.
