Embrace financial literacy – NYSC Director advises Corps members

The Director, NYSC of the North West Area Office (1), Kaduna, Mr. Kehinde Cole, has urged members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), to embrace financial literacy and adopt mature attitude towards life.

He gave the advice while addressing the 2024 Batch B, Stream 2 Corps members during their orientation at Yikpata Camp, Edu Local Government Area, Kwara State.

Mr. Aremu emphasised the importance of shunning frivolous expenses and focus on legitimate means of earning income.

He advised Corps members to apply the skills acquired during the camp’s Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme beyond the orientation period.

Additionally, he cautioned against embarking on night journeys, both during and after their service year, for safety reasons.

The Director also conveyed the goodwill message of the NYSC Director-General to the Corps members, encouraging them to make the most of their service year.
