The Ata Igala, HRM, Matthew Alaji Opaluwa Oguche Akpa, has conferred the traditional title of the Agekpa Ata Igala, on Chief Emmanuel Sule.
The conferment of chieftaincy titles on individuals by the Ata Igala is a significant cultural ceremony that honors leadership, community development and philanthropy amongst others.
The event which took place at the historic Ata Igala’s Palace in Idah, came with a call to people of Igala kingdom to channel their resources, expertise, and networks into driving grassroots growt and development.
The Agekpa Ata Igala, Chief Emmanuel Sule, who made the call, emphasised the need to help mobilise stakeholders for community development and initiatives that stimulate local economic growth.
Chief Sule equally advise youths to shun social vices and embrace vocational skills in order to be self reliant as well as enhance their well-being.
On his part, he pleged to make positive contributions towards the peace , unity and development of the area.
According to him the honour and elevation as traditional title holder in Igala land would spur him to intensify efforts tailored towards the advancement of the kingdom.
He also appreciated the royal father for considering him for the honour and opportunity , just as assured him of his determination not to disappoint him and Igala land in general.
Chief Sule used the forum to call and encourage Igala sons and daughters both at home and in the diaspora to join hands with the Ata Igala to attract infrastructure and other developmental projects back home.
