The All Progressives Congress (APC), in Adamawa State has flagged off a door-to-door campaign, to mobilize support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in the 2027 general elections.
The flag-off ceremony took place recently at the Government House Gate in Yola and was performed on behalf of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, by his Deputy, Prof. Kaletapwa Farauta.
Speaking at the event, the Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, said the grassroots mobilization drive across the 21 LGAs, is aimed at strengthening voter engagement and consolidating support for President Tinubu and all APC candidates.
“This campaign is to take our message to every household. We must work to ensure victory for APC from top to bottom and from bottom to top,” she said.
Farauta reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to delivering Adamawa for President Tinubu in 2027, describing the president’s second term as critical for the consolidation of ongoing reforms.
The Adamawa APC Chairman, Bello Madagali, thanked party members and supporters for turning out despite the short notice. He urged leaders to take the campaign to all wards and communities in the state.
Also speaking, the North-East Zonal Coordinator of the “Bring Back Door-to-Door Movement”, Zakari Hashimu, said the group is targeting 10 million votes for President Tinubu in the zone.
“We are here to consolidate the gains on ground and ensure landslide victory for PBAT,” he said.
The APC Senatorial Candidate for Adamawa Central, Comrade Mustapha Salihu, speaking on behalf of other National Assembly flag-bearers, described the flag-off as the beginning of a new era.
“We are solidly behind President Tinubu, our National Assembly candidates, and all APC flag-bearers,” Salihu said. He commended the president for people-centered policies and for providing a platform for APC candidates to thrive.
In his opening remarks, the APC State Publicity Secretary, Dr. Victor Dogo, said aligning with President Tinubu’s re-election bid would boost the party’s chances in Adamawa.
“Recent political developments across the country show the importance of strategic alliances. The growing national consensus in support of President Tinubu’s second term can influence electoral outcomes,” Dogo said.
He urged party members to remain united and intensify grassroots mobilization ahead of 2027. “Sustained engagement with voters will be critical to our success,” he stressed.
The event had in attendance APC stakeholders, women and youth leaders, and supporters from across the 21 local government areas of the state.
