The Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Umar Yusuf, has applauded the level of preparation put in place by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), for its National Convention in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

The Speaker confessed that the party has put in place what he described as a ‘Standard’ when it comes to conventions, stressing that other parties must take a cue from what the ruling party is doing with the 2026 convention.

He noted that from arrangement of venues to security and other logistics, the party has introduced how a party can organize a proper convention that meets international standard, stressing that as an official, he is satisfied with the process.

Rt. Hon. Umar used the opportunity to aplaud President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for giving the party the necessary visibility and the National Working Committee of the party for striving hard to amplify the Renewed Hope Mantra of the Federal Government.

He also praised the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his proactive approach to the event and ensuring that Kogi participates fully in the convention, stressing that the APC is fortunate to have him as Governor at this moment in time.

The Speaker further thanked the immediate past Governor of the state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, for his role in the convention and for helping to ensure a hitch-free event for Kogi’s contingent to the convention.
