The All Progressives Congress (APC), Adamawa State Chapter, has expressed deep grief over the death of the State Commissioner for Agriculture, Professor David Jatau.
Prof. Jatau died on Monday night after a brief illness, the party said in a statement.
In the statement signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Dr. Dogo Victor, the APC Chairman, Hamza Madagali, described the late commissioner as “an exceptional public servant, a distinguished academician, and a man of remarkable intellect, integrity, and dedication to service.”
Madagali said Prof. Jatau’s contributions to agriculture in Adamawa earned him wide respect across professional, political, and community lines.
“His commitment to excellence and selfless service made him a rare gem whose legacy will continue to inspire generations,” the chairman said.
“On behalf of the leadership and entire members of the APC Adamawa State Chapter, I extend our heartfelt condolences to his immediate family, the Ministry of Agriculture, the academic community, the Adamawa State Government, and all those touched by this painful loss,” Madagali stated.
He prayed for God’s comfort for the bereaved and for the repose of the late commissioner’s soul.
“We pray that Almighty God grants his family, friends, colleagues, and the people of Adamawa State the strength to bear this irreparable loss. May God, in His infinite mercy, grant Professor David Jatau eternal rest and reward his lifetime of dedicated service. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace. Amen,” the statement added.
