From David Onuoja, Abuja

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) Plc, has launched its MyPower Mobile and Web Apps, expanding its digital service channels and giving customers faster, easier access to electricity services from their mobile devices and web browsers.

According to a statement issued and signed on Wednesday by the Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications, Omede Odekina said, the launch, which forms part of the company’s Customer Service Week activities, marks another major milestone in AEDC’s digital transformation and customer experience journey, reinforcing its commitment to putting customers at the centre of its operations.

According to the company, the MyPower platforms bring essential electricity services together in one digital ecosystem. Customers can now buy electricity tokens anytime and anywhere, pay bills, report outages and lodge and track complaints without visiting AEDC offices.

The apps also allow customers to view energy consumption, access bills and payment receipts, manage multiple accounts and meters, and update personal information digitally. A key security feature also enables customers to verify the identity of AEDC personnel before granting access to their premises.

Speaking at the launch, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of AEDC, Engr. Chijioke Z. Okwuokenye, said the initiative reflects the company’s broader drive to build a more customer-focused and digitally enabled organisation.

“Our customers are at the heart of everything we do. As their needs and expectations evolve, we must evolve with them. The MyPower Mobile and Web Apps are significant steps in that direction, using technology to give our customers greater control over how they interact with AEDC,” he said.

Also speaking, the Chief Operating Officer, Engr. Blessing Ogbe, said the launch demonstrates how customer feedback is shaping the company’s processes. Adding that AEDC is building a culture where listening, learning and innovation drive service delivery.

The company said the MyPower Mobile App is now available for download on Google Play Store and Apple App Store, while the Web App is accessible via http://crm.abujaelectricity.com for customers across the FCT, Kogi, Niger and Nasarawa states respectively.
