Adavi Local Govt Council appoints District Head

Adavi local government council has approved the appointment of a 60 year old retired chief Nursing Officer, Mallam Jimoh Ogere Yekini, as the new district head of Adavi LGA.

In his letter of appointment dated 30th July, 2025 and signed by the council chairman, Hon Rasheed Okatengwu, the appointment of the new district head took effect from 1st January, 2025.

The letter then urged the new district head to bring to bear his wealth of experience in the task to reposition ADAVI LGA for greater service delivery, especially as regards his schedule and services.

Reacting to his appointment, the new district head, mallam Jimoh Ogere Yekini, expressed gratitude to the governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, former governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the council chairman, the Ohio of Adavi, Hon Abdul Basit and other political appointees from the area.

The new district head then promised to mobilize all the ward heads to complement the efforts of government, especially in peace making

The new district head then seized the opportunity to thank his sponsor for sponsoring him to the position and appealed to the people of Adavi for their support.
