From Taiye Joseph, Ilorin

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has approved the promotion of more than 2,000 civil servants, reinforcing his administration’s commitment to workers’ welfare and motivation in the state.

The Permanent Secretary of the State Civil Service Commission, Hajia Kifayat Jimoh, announced the development today in Ilorin, confirming that 2,094 out of the 2,122 candidates who sat for the 2023 promotion examination were successful.

Expressing gratitude to the governor, Hajia Jimoh, described the approval as a significant morale booster for civil servants. “This gesture by His Excellency demonstrates his unwavering support for the public workforce. It is a call to duty and an encouragement for greater productivity,” she stated.

She urged the promoted workers to justify their elevation by being more committed to service delivery, adding that the government remains focused on strengthening the civil service for the benefit of the people.
