Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has reinforced his administration’s commitment to Local Governance on Monday by strategically engaging key stakeholders in Adavi Local Government Area, as part of his intensified grassroots outreach.
The interactive session at the Adavi Local Government Secretariat in Ogaminana saw a large turnout of stakeholders, notably traditional rulers, political leaders, and representatives of youth and women’s organisations.
Having earlier assessed the progress of ongoing road projects in the local government, Governor Ododo stressed his administration’s firm dedication to infrastructural development, the promotion of local content, and inclusive governance.
He stated that all ongoing projects across the state would be delivered on schedule and to specification, highlighting that the deliberate inclusion of local artisans and suppliers reflected his administration’s commitment to community empowerment and organic economic growth.
“We are building more than just infrastructure, we are strengthening the political and economic fabric of our communities by involving them directly in the development process,” the Governor said.
Appreciating Adavi’s residents for their peaceful coexistence and political unity, he called on them to maintain this positive trajectory to attract additional state-funded projects and ensure their continued importance in the state’s political calculations.
The Executive Chairman of Adavi LGA, Hon. Bashir Okatengwu, lauded Governor Ododo’s leadership as “people-first,” pointing to significant interventions in road infrastructure, education, security, and political appointments as clear demonstration of the administration’s grassroot focus.
To further community development efforts and in a show of political solidarity with the Governor, local leaders symbolically presented financial support during the forum.
