This commitment was solidified during a high-level meeting with the State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo, held at his office in Lokoja.

Addressing the media team, Hon. Fanwo emphasized the importance of professionalism, urging the Governor’s media aides to remain meticulous and diligent in their duties. He highlighted Governor Ododo’s determination to revolutionize Kogi State’s media sector, lauding the progress made thus far.

One of the most exciting announcements from the meeting was the imminent round-the-clock operation of the Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation. The Commissioner praised the Governor’s efforts in equipping the station to provide 24-hour service, a significant milestone in the state’s communication infrastructure.

Speaking to the press after the meeting, Comrade Jacob Edi, Special Adviser to the Governor on Information and Communications, highlighted the historic nature of the gathering. He noted that for the first time in Kogi’s history, the media team had come together under a unified mandate: projecting the image of the state to the global stage.

“We are determined to synergize and work as a team to ensure Kogi’s story is told effectively. Governor Ododo has made tremendous investments in the information sector, and this has made our job much easier,” Mr. Edi said, acknowledging the Governor’s commitment to media excellence.

Hon. Yahaya Mohammed, the Special Assistant on Digital Media, assured citizens of the state that they could expect strong and reliable information management from the media team, as they are fully prepared to showcase Governor Ododo’s achievements to the world.

With the Governor’s ambitious plans for the state’s media sector already underway, Kogi State is poised for a new era of information dissemination, ensuring that the progress being made reaches every corner of the globe.
