By Aishat Adejo

A Kogi born cleric and Resident Pastor of Bethel Glory Church, Chicago, USA, Pastor Juliet Adejo is set to give financial aid to single mothers, intending couples and struggling couples who have been wedded for two years.

The initiative is centred on improving the welfare of single mothers and their children as well as newly wedded couples currently confronted by challenges.

A single mother herself, Pastor Adejo who operates an online program tagged “Back to School Grant”, is being sponsored through her Damsels and Gentlemen Initiative.

In a chat with The Graphic, Adejo said the initiative was informed by the fact that many women who are single mothers, are either neglected and stigmatised by society. And that the gesture is designed to change the narrative for such persons in Kogi and Nigeria in general.

According to Pastor Juliet, the faith based initiative is aimed at helping single moms, and those struggling in their marriages get their children back in school in September,2024.

During a broadcast tagged “Naked and Not Ashamed”, she took to her Facebook page to assure genuine single mothers who do not have anyone to sponsor their children that her foundation was already putting together a list of beneficiaries.

She further charged them to continue to make God their focus stating that moving from one sugar daddy to the other does not glorify God.

In her message titled “The purge”, she read from the book of John chapter 4 that speaks about the woman at the well, a Samaritan woman Jesus approached for water.

Speaking further, she said God wants to purge mankind of some ideas, especially trauma and heal every hurting heart.

The cleric then encouraged christians to come to God the way they are. Stating that the more you come to God broken owning up to their sins, that a naked and not ashamed moment with Jesus will make a person never bend their heads in shame.

She further urged Christians to look up to Jesus not as a figment of their imagination but as though he is with them, even as she urged Christians to look up to Jesus and not the world.

Aside from the humanitarian activities which she intends to carry out in the coming weeks , the Foundation promised to further extend its philanthropic works to intending couples and struggling couples who have been wedded for two years.
