The Muslim Ummah in Nigeria have been advised to reflect on the verses of the Holy Quran and have faith in Allah in the face of the current economic challanges in the country.

This charge was made by Ustaz Idris Abdullahi, during the 4th public lecture organized by the Muslim Ummah of Upper New Layout, titled “The Current Economic Hardship in Nigeria: Causes, Effects, and the Islamic Way Out”.

Ustaz Abdullahi emphasized the need for Muslims to be grateful to Allah in all situations and avoid financial transactions prohibited by Allah.

He attributed the current economic hardship to the removal of fuel subsidy, insecurity, banditry, unemployment, underemployment, and corruption.
