The Member representing Okene II Constituency, Honourable Zakari Yusuf Eneve, on Friday congratulated Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, on his well deserved victory at the Appeal Court which affirmed the ruling of the Election Petition Tribunal that earlier affirmed him as the duly elected Governor of Kogi State in the November 11, 2023 Governorshhip election.

The Lawmaker in a congratulatory message, commended the learned Justices of the Appeal Court for toeing the path of honour, upholding truth and ensuring the will of the people is sustained.

He further said, “It is obvious the court cases are mere distractions to the government as opposition parties lack verifiable evidences against the Governorship election instead rely heavily on media propaganda, divisive agenda and ethnic empathy.”

The Lawmaker added that “the people of Okene II Constituency are grateful to God Almighty for this significant occasion, and delighted that the unnecessary litigation has not stopped the Governor’s dedication to delivering the dividends of democracy to the people.

He noted that Governor Ododo has continued to govern the state with unwavering commitment to security and welfare of Kogites.”

While acknowledging the right of opposition parties to seek redress in courts, Hon. Zakari, however, reteirated his earlier appeal to the opposition candidates to accept defeat and join hands with Gov. Ododo in uniting the people and moving the state forward.
