The Rotary Club of Lokoja Metro, is set to install Rotarian Omoladun Asabe Frank-Baiye, as its 19th President in a colourful ceremony at the Glass House, Government House, Lokoja, tomorrow Saturday 8th August, 2026 at 2pm.

The investiture will mark the beginning of a new Rotary year, “Create Lasting Impact”, with members, dignitaries, government officials, and friends of Rotary in attendance to witness the leadership transition.
In a Press Statement signed by the Investiture Committee Chairperson, Rotarian Grace Ben Kato, said the ceremony will feature the decoration of the new President, induction of Board of Directors and launch of the Rotary endowmentfund, induction of new members, presentation of awards, and goodwill messages from distinguished guests and Rotarians.

According to the statement, the installation ceremony with the theme: “Rotary Growth and Sustainable Community Development: Building Partnerships for Lasting Impact”, will feature Fitness and Awareness Walk at 7:00am same day.
“The walk will commenced at Ganaja Junction and move through major streets in the state capital, terminating at Paparanda Square, and end with Grilled fish fellowship at NUJ, 7pm.

“The walk is aimed at promoting healthy living, membership drive, raising public awareness about Rotary’s humanitarian work, and projecting Rotary’s visibility in Kogi State.
Club members, Rotaractors, Interactors, and members of the public, are invited to participate in the exercise. “The activity is designed to connect with the people, encourage fitness, and demonstrate Rotary’s commitment to serving humanity beyond the boardroom”, she said.
The Rotary Club of Lokoja Metro, chartered under District 9125 of Rotary International, now District 9126, remains one of the active clubs in Kogi State committed to community service, peacebuilding, and sustainable development.
